Exploring Santa Barbara

On Saturday we spent a lot of time on the road, picking up Justin's car in Covina (an hour and a half away), meeting back home, then returning the rental car in Santa Barbara (another hour away).  Since we were in Santa Barbara, we wanted to see what it was all about after hearing many people say that it's a beautiful city. 

That Saturday afternoon was our favorite day here in California so far!!!  Santa Barbara is beautiful!  We walked along State Street and did some shopping.  Actually, only Justin bought some clothes and slippers and I was empty-handed...can you believe that?  The architecture and decor along State Street reminded me of Italy!  At the bottom of State Street was Stearns Wharf where there were so many birds, big and small.  I couldn't help, but get freaked out a couple times when the larger birds came  swooping down.

We read that on Sundays local Santa Barbara artists showcase their artwork and crafts along the wharf so we look forward to seeing that one day.
